How does the endocannabinoid system work?
The endocannabinoid system is made up of a large number of cannabinoid receptors spread across the central nervous system (CB1 receptors which are primarily found in the brain and spinal cord) and peripheral nervous system (CB2 which are receptors spread throughout the body). These receptors sit on the surface of cells and transmit information on the body's changing physiological environment so a cell can initiate the appropriate balancing response to maintain equilibrium within the cell. Like a lock and key, CB1 and CB2 cannabinoid receptors (locks) receive 'information' on the body's changing physiological environment in the form of endocannabinoids (keys) which are synthetized by the body on demand depending on the bodies physiological conditions at the time.
Everybody is different
Everybody has a unique endocannabinoid system. In particular the distribution and density of CB1 and CB2 cannabinoid receptors in each of us is as unique as a fingerprint which is why experimenting with hemp and cannabis products is such a personal and delicate process and why people have different experiences from consuming the same product.
Which Paso CBD products work fastest?
For cannabinoids like CBD to have an effect on the body's endocannabinoid system, they must first be absorbed into the blood stream. This allows them to travel around the body and interact with the body's cannabinoid receptors. The different ways in which someone takes cannabinoids into their body will impact the degree and speed at which those cannabinoids are absorbed into the bloodstream. This is known as how 'bioavailable' the CBD is.
Vaping
Without getting too anatomical, the high surface area and blood flow to the lungs make absorption of CBD very quick when vaping - a few minutes - and therefore perfect for those of you who don't want to wait around.
Edibles
Edibles are best option for those of you who want both a great taste experience and partake in the more subtle, long lasting wellness effects of CBD. The reason why edibles such as Paso CBD Gummies and Paso CBD Chocolate take much longer to effect the body is because they need to pass through the digestive system to get into your bloodstream and start the process of interacting with your endocannabinoid system. It doesn't seem it, but it's a long journey for those CBD cannabinoids from your mouth to your stomach. The result is that eating CBD can only effect the body after 1.5 - 2 hours, meaning it's a better option for those wanting to take CBD as a daily wellness supplement, rather than experience its effects quickly and in isolation.
