Alibris loyalty programme rewards repeat buyers with account credit
Frequent shoppers accumulate points on every qualifying purchase, which convert into spendable credit once a threshold is reached. Track your points balance in the account section, and redeemed credit applies automatically at checkout with no code needed.
Filter by price to find secondhand paperbacks from 99p
Use the price slider on any search results page to set a maximum spend and instantly see the cheapest available copies. Many independent sellers list mass-market paperbacks starting at under £1, though shipping costs are added separately and vary by seller location.
Daily deals on featured titles with limited-time price reductions
Each day Alibris highlights a rotating selection of books with temporarily lowered prices from participating sellers. These offers appear on the homepage carousel and typically run for 24 to 48 hours, so checking back regularly helps you catch price drops on popular titles before stock sells out.
Refer a friend and you both get credit towards your next book order
Existing account holders can share a personal referral link from their account dashboard. When a friend places their first qualifying order through that link, both parties receive account credit that can be spent on any future purchase across the marketplace.
Rare and collectible books from under £5 in the Alibris vintage collection
The vintage and antiquarian section lists first editions, signed copies, and out-of-print titles from specialist sellers worldwide. Prices start below £5 for lesser-known collectibles, with detailed condition notes provided by each seller so you know exactly what you are getting before purchase.
First order discount when you create an Alibris account
New customers who register for a free account receive a welcome offer on their initial purchase. Create your account using the sign-up link at the top right of the page, and the introductory saving will be applied automatically when you reach the checkout for the first time.
Buy multiple books from the same seller and save on combined shipping
When you purchase two or more titles from a single independent seller on the marketplace, postage is consolidated into one reduced rate rather than charging per item. Look for the 'multi-item shipping discount' badge on seller profiles to identify which shops participate.
Student discount on textbooks and study guides at Alibris
University students can access reduced pricing on secondhand textbooks by verifying their student status through the Alibris education programme. Search by ISBN to find the cheapest available copy of your required reading list, then apply the student rate at checkout after verification.
Free UK delivery on orders over £20
Standard shipping is waived when your basket total reaches £20 before any applied discounts. This applies to items shipped from UK-based sellers on the marketplace, so filter your search by location to make sure your selections qualify.
Save up to 80% on used textbooks in the Alibris bargain section
The bargain bin features thousands of pre-owned textbooks, fiction, and non-fiction titles at heavily reduced prices compared to retail. Browse the clearance tab to find academic texts, novels, and rare editions starting from under £2, with inventory refreshed regularly by independent sellers.
