Nixon was founded in Encinitas, California in 1998 by Andy Laats and Chad DiNenna. Starting out of frustration of the lack of quality watches that catered to their skate and surf lifestyle, they designed and built their first custom Nixon watches. Encinitas, California, remains our homeland, but we were very lucky as we opened offices in Asia, Australia and Europe alongside our favorite sports venues. Our global presence allows us to always be attentive to the demands of the markets in which they are present.

Our time to change
Tide is an innovative company that aims to reuse the plastic that threatens our oceans for the creation of sustainable products, in view of the circular economy. Nixon is collaborating with our community to spread generosity with the help of Hunger: Not Impossible. There is plenty of food in this country, yet people are hungry every day.
Hunger: Not Impossible is tackling this hunger dilemma through developing a simple text base application that feeds people when and where they need it. Most recently, they have been working with Beyond Emancipation website in Oakland, CA to distribute meals to teenagers who have recently left the foster system. When Not Impossible founder, Mick Ebling visited our office and spoke, we loved this idea and wanted to see how we could help out.
