Bite into a Bistecca alla Fiorentina in Florence

Bistecca alla Fiorentina is a cuisine local to the Italian city of Florence. Generally, the steaks come from a Tuscan breed of cattle called Chianina. This is due to only a light seasoning being needed to enhance the flavour of the meat.

You prepare Bistecca alla Fiorentina on a BBQ grill, and generally only use a pinch of salt to flavour. There are many little details that make this dish what it is. For example, you cook it at room temperature rather than straight from the fridge. Even how often you turn the steak while cooking is important for this yummy cuisine!

Fill up on fish and chips in London

In the UK, particularly in coastal areas, fish and chips are a well-known dish. Though London isn’t coastal, fish and chips are still a staple dish here! Both fish and chips were introduced by separate immigrant cultures and then fused to make this typically British dish. Cod and haddock reign supreme as the top choices of fish for this mouth-watering cuisine.

Locals in London will usually have a favourite chippy, which will serve a delicious, battered fish alongside chunky chips. It’s one of the simpler national dishes of the world, but still a real treat! And of course, don’t forget to order mushy peas and tartare sauce!
