The battle of these two iconic characters in film history is one of the most anticipated of the season. For several years, Godzilla and King Kong have earned a significant role in our memories, and now they will meet again to face off.

3. The soundtrack was created almost before the movie

The composer of the soundtrack, Tom Holkenborg (Junkie XL), is in charge of the film's soundtrack, but curiously, before being hired for the film, he had already made music for Godzilla himself, as he declares himself as a great fan of this character and of Japanese cinema films.

To give rhythm to the super monsters, the composer requested the biggest bass drum they could make, a mission that cost a great deal of effort from its manufacturer but that was finally achieved with a dimension of 8 feet. This is the main instrument that can be heard throughout the soundtrack of the film.

4. Alexander Skarsgård and Rebecca Hall learned sign language to communicate with little Kaylee Hottle

One of the protagonists who undoubtedly touches this story is the actress Kaylee Hottle. Making her first big screen debut, the Georgia-born American is a deaf actress.

The 11-year-old girl taught the cast of the film, specifically the actors Alexander Skarsgård and Rebeca Hall, who learned American Sign Language to communicate with their little companion.

5. The film has been well praised in Mexican theaters.

Apparently, the long-awaited premiere has brought people back to theaters despite capacity restrictions due to the pandemic, and in the first weekend of its theatrical debut it managed to gross $122 million.

Another curious fact is that specifically in Mexico, according to the movie channel, it was reported that the first weekend 1.5 million people attended and the country raised a total of 110 million pesos.

6. It is so far, the shortest movie in the Monsterverse.

It is the shortest movie in the Monsterverse as it is only 1 hour and 53 minutes long. The fans were surprised since they expected a duration of approximately 3 hours, however, its director Adam Wingard commented that he preferred to make a film that was not so long but that was capable of moving all its viewers from beginning to end.

He also added that a long film would not necessarily have achieved more battle scenes, but on the contrary, the dialogues between humans would have stood out, which is why he thus justified his intention to seek balance to please the type of script that he would have liked. see of younger in the other previous versions.
