How do I know if the products you are selling are safe for my health?
We only sell products after the expiration date and do not offer products after the expiration date.
In other words, the products we sell must be suitable for consumption, and not pose a risk to your health, despite being technically 'overdue'.
In addition, our warehouse and dispatch staff are trained to physically assess and check inventory regularly for any signs of degradation - ensuring that when the products reach you, they are of the highest possible standard of quality and safety.
It is also advisable that you carry out your own checks on the products before consumption (visual checks and other sensory checks such as smell) to ensure that the products are still fit for purpose.
How else do you support the environment?
One of our main goals for defining 'Love, Health and Hate Waste', along with delivering healthcare products at literally unbeatable prices, was to reduce the impact that unnecessary waste has on our natural environment.
The premise of our business is therefore built on waste reduction.
This extends across our entire operation, from reusing packaging materials sent to us by suppliers, to using recyclable and recycled materials wherever possible, and only using FSC certified envelopes and boxes (where new materials should be used).
Are the products you sell way past their expiration date?
Every product is different - some are just days past their expiration date, some are weeks away, and some are months away.
There is no upper time limit beyond the expiry date which is, or can exactly be, provided to indicate an "absolute" limit for when something needs to be consumed by.
This illustrates not only the fact that items beyond the expiration date can last far beyond that, but also the need for "common sense" checks when a product is past its expiration date.
Common sense checks can be described as visual and smell checks before taste test products to ensure they are still fit for purpose and definitely not spoiled before consumption.
Visual and odor checks (outside, packaged goods) are carried out by trained personnel in our warehouse on a regular basis to ensure that our stock remains in a suitable and suitable condition for consumption prior to shipment.
What's the difference between 'Best before' and 'Used by'?
Expiration dates indicate that a product will be at its best quality before the expiration date is reached - the date provided does not concern the safety or efficacy of that product and therefore products with expiration dates are often perfectly suitable for consume.
On the other hand, the usage dates are different.
Expiration dates are commonly used in fresh and other "high risk" foods and consumables, where consuming after the expiration date would pose a serious health risk and could result in food poisoning.
Under no circumstances should products be consumed beyond the expiration date, even if they look and smell perfectly good.
On this site, we ONLY offer products that are beyond their expiration date, and we will never offer products for sale that have an expiration date or that are inappropriate or unsafe for use or consumption.
