THE FRAGRANCES

WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF PERFUMES.

Sweet, intoxicating, feminine, elegant, fresh and, above all, they reflect you and your personality.

Fragrances are an integral part of many people's lives, but many don't know what types of fragrances we know and how we divide them.

Below you can read all about perfumes and fragrances.

COMPOSITION AND INTENSITY OF FRAGRANCES

Perfume or perfume extract

Contains 15-30% essence (fragrance ingredients) in concentrated alcohol (ethanol). It belongs to the most powerful and most expensive fragrances. It stays on the skin for 6-8 hours.

Perfume water (Eau de Parfum, EdP)

Contains 8-15% essence (fragrance ingredients) in about 85-90% alcohol solution (ethanol). It is one of the strongest fragrances and, given its long persistence, it is the most popular intensity among women's fragrances. It stays on the skin for 4-5 hours.

Toilet water (Eau de toilette, EdT)

Contains 4-8% essence (fragrance ingredients) in about 80% alcohol solution (ethanol). It belongs to weaker fragrances and is therefore suitable for everyday use. Toilet eau are less expensive than perfume and are popular with men's and women's fragrances. They remain on the skin for 2-3 hours.

Cologne (Eau de Cologne, EoC)

Contains 3-5% essences (fragrance ingredients) in about 70% alcohol solution (ethanol). It is one of the weaker fragrances and is mainly used for men's fragrances. It stays on the skin for about 2 hours.

THE OLFACTORY PYRAMID AND THE NOTES OF PERFUMES

The smell of perfumes consists of upper, middle and lower notes, which form the so-called olfactory pyramid. This division is based on the classic model or structure of the French perfume.

The top or top notes are the ones we smell immediately after applying the perfume. They remain on the skin for a few minutes before evaporating and are usually fruity or sweet scents. Therefore, the perfume should not be selected based on the first impression, as its smell changes after a few minutes. Perhaps the first notes excite us after that, the perfume develops in a completely unexpected direction, or the contatio doesn't like it at first, but then develops a wonderful aroma. It is important to always wait for the middle and base notes of the perfume to develop.

The middle or middle notes are precisely the heart of the perfume. In these notes the true character of the perfume is hidden, which can be woody, spicy, floral, fruity, etc. The medium notes are kept on the skin for several hours, depending on the intensity of the perfume. In the description of perfumes, the most common are the notes of the heart.

The lower or base notes of the perfume remain on the skin for at least 24 hours. These are deeper smells, which are often composed of vanilla, wood, spices, sandalwood or amber and we only smell them after about half an hour.

CITRUS-VERDECLASSIFICATION OF FRAGRANCES (OLFACTORY GROUPS)

Perfumes, based on their composition, can be divided into the so-called olfactory groups. This subdivision can help us in the choice of perfume, since every single individual usually prefers fragrances of the same olfactory family.

Perfumes have an extremely complex composition, but are mostly based on a particular accord that determines their olfactory group. With the help of other agreements, they can be divided into further subgroups. There are several subdivisions, but fragrances are generally divided into various main groups. Depending on the dominant notes, we distinguish between floral, spicy, woody, fruity and fresh fragrances. The intoxicating floral scents are suitable for romantics, the spicy fragrances are suitable for sensual seductresses, the woody ones are perfect for confident and elegant women, the fruity fragrances are the most suitable for playful and optimistic women, while the fresh scents for nature lovers . Men's fragrances are divided into: spicy, woody and fresh. In recent years, the most popular are fresh and spicy-fresh fragrances.
