SUN PROTECTION UPF 40+

This garment has been tested in accordance with recognised international standards for ultraviolet radiation protection - and has been awarded a rating of UPF 40+. The protection offered may be significantly reduced with extended wear or if the garment is stretched or wet. Any associated UV risks will vary according to individual skin type or medical history.

Thermocore™

Taking its inspiration from the composition of reindeer fur, our Thermocore™ fabric is made from polyester filaments - with a hollow core. And it's this hollow core that's the secret to Thermocore's incredible insulating properties. Dry air has a tiny thermal conductivity - 24 times less than water - and our Thermocore™ fabric simply traps more of it than an ordinary, solid fibre. And if it's good enough for reindeer…

DYNAMIC MOISTURE CONTROL™

DMC™ is a wicking treatment that rapidly spreads the moisture our bodies create across the surface area of a garment. This can be achieved through the technical construction of the garment or by a performance coating and ensures that the garment dries more quickly, encourages evaporative heat loss and helps you stay cooler and more comfortable for longer.

INSECT SHIELD®

Insect Shield® technology converts clothing into convenient, comfortable and effective protection against biting insects. Each garment is treated with permethrin - an invisible and odourless ingredient that helps protect against insects such as mosquitoes, ticks, ants, flies, chiggers and midges.

ANTI ODOUR SILVER

Garments treated with our Anti Odour Silver technology benefit from the natural antimicrobial properties of silver. Tiny traces of silver, distributed evenly throughout the garment, inhibit the growth of bacteria reducing mould and odour. This treatment is permanent - it will never wash or wear out.

2-LAYER BARRICADE™

Barricade™ is a waterproof, windproof and breathable technology that has been tested and measured to achieve a minimum initial Hydrostatic Head measure of 20,000mm and an initial Moisture Vapour Transmission Rate measure of 20,000 g/m2/24 hrs. With our 2-layer construction method, a water-repellent outer fabric and the PU hydrophilic membrane are bonded together. A loose lining protects the membrane from the inside.

2.5-LAYER BARRICADE™

Barricade™ is a waterproof, windproof and breathable technology that has been tested and measured to achieve a minimum initial Hydrostatic Head measure of 20,000mm and an initial Moisture Vapour Transmission Rate measure of 20,000 g/m2/24 hrs. With our 2.5-layer construction method, a water-repellent outer fabric and the PU hydrophilic membrane are bonded together. A partial print is applied to the inside of the fabric to protect the membrane from abrasion.

3-LAYER BARRICADE™ Waterproof

with Durable Water Repellency™Barricade™ is a waterproof, windproof and breathable technology that has been tested and measured to achieve a minimum initial Hydrostatic Head measure of 20,000mm and an initial Moisture Vapour Transmission Rate measure of 20,000 g/m2/24 hrs. With our 3-layer construction method, the water repellent face fabric and the waterproof-breathable membrane are bonded together with a lightweight, wicking scrim.

DRY LINER BARRICADE™

Barricade™ is a waterproof, windproof and breathable technology that has been tested and measured to achieve a minimum initial Hydrostatic Head measure of 20,000mm and an initial Moisture Vapour Transmission Rate measure of 20,000 g/m2/24 hrs. With our Dry liner construction method, the PU hydrophilic membrane is laminated to an inner liner. A loose outer made from a water-repellent synthetic fabric protects the membrane from the outside.

2.5-layer Barricade™ with P4Dry™ print

Our 2.5-layer Barricade™ with P4Dry™ print keeps jackets waterproof and breathable, while cutting down on weight. It works by bonding together a water-repellent outer fabric and a breathable membrane. The P4Dry™ print is then applied directly to the inside of the fabric. This wicks moisture away and protects the membrane from abrasion. The Barricade fabric has a Hydrostatic Head of 20,000mm and a Moisture Vapour Transmission Rate of 20,000g per metre square every 24 hours. These are measures of the amount of water the fabric can withstand and the amount of moisture that can pass through it.
