Technology, Change and Security
Help us take technology to new places.
Disruptive innovation is in our DNA. We made our name by doing things differently. Defying the convention. Constantly looking for new ways to make our services smarter. Faster. More robust. We still have the same goals today.
Our tech team is made up of some brilliant thinkers. True pioneers who love challenges and who thrive on having the resources they need to keep us one step ahead. They are expert architects, developers, digital gurus, engineers and innovators who ensure our systems and network can deliver everything our customers expect and more.
In short, this is an exciting, dynamic and idea-driven place. The perfect place to develop your career and expand your tech skills to the fullest.
Technology
Technology drives every aspect of our business. And as part of our technology team, you'll get 100% of every tool, product, service or technology system we use - and 100% of your career.
Our responsibilities
How we give back.
Our chosen charity
Ambitious about autism
Thanks to our colleagues, customers and suppliers, we've raised £3 million over the past 10 years for Ambitious About Autism (AAA). There is no doubt that technology can open up the world to children and young people who aspire to support autism.
One of the projects we help fund and establish is Talk about Autism - an online support community for families. Today the forum has over 10,000 members and last year it received over 250,000 visits.
The environment
At TalkTalk, we take our responsibility to the environment seriously and are committed to doing everything we can to help address the challenges of climate change.
TalkTalk supports the Business in the Community's Challenge 2030 campaign. The initiative builds on the targets set in the 2015 Paris Agreement, with the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050. United Kingdom to accelerate progress and reach that goal 20 years earlier.
One of the main activities here is our Net Zero Heroes network, which unites colleagues around a culture of sustainability and invites them to share ideas to help TalkTalk become a greener business.
The Net Zero Heroes network is made up of members at a variety of levels of seniority - and although this is just the beginning, we are building momentum and membership is steadily growing.
We want everyone to enjoy the benefits of the digital world and therefore our corporate social responsibility work focuses on three significant challenges: digital skills, safety and security. There are opportunities to get involved in fundraising and volunteering from day one, and we'll help you support the cause that matters most to you too.
Digital skills
All TalkTalk employees are encouraged to volunteer at the Good Things Foundation's local center to help more people learn basic digital skills. We also created an e-learning course, 'Stay safe in your digital world.'
Safety
We are one of the founders of Internet Matters, which helps keep children safe online.
Safety
Working with Get Safe Online, we run a Beat the Scammers campaign to help people stay one step ahead of scams and to share the information we'll never ask customers when we contact them - an industry first.
Speaking of solitude
TalkTalk has a long history of industry-leading efforts to ensure the Internet is a safer place for young people. We are now launching our Talking Loneliness campaign, examining whether technology should be seen as a source, symptom or solution to address the growing problem of teenage loneliness.
