1984: TRESPASS, THE BRAND IS BORN

As our customer list expanded, we decided to create a dedicated brand that would provide only the best outdoor clothing, high performance and quality; Trespass was born. We began to focus on affordable ski clothing and other specialized outdoor clothing and equipment, such as waterproof jackets and hiking boots. We have a great passion for the outdoors and wanted to show that through our product line.

1990: TRESPASS RETAIL STORES OPEN

During the 1990s, we decided to open retail stores, which would sell our Trespass branded clothing and accessories. Although we started with just a few selected stores, we now have a large network of stores across the country. In addition, we now have a network of stores in continental Europe and we hope to open more stores in countries such as America and Asia.

LATE 1990'S: RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT IN OUR OWN SPECIALIZED FABRICS

As our product range expanded, we began to develop our own trademark fabric technology. We are particularly proud of our Tres-tex® fabric, which provides an effective waterproof barrier against wet weather. Our other specially engineered fabrics include: Softshell®, Coldheat®, AirTrap®, Duoskin® and Moskitophobia®.

2000: WE FOUND A NEW HOME

In 2000, we moved to a new custom headquarters on the Southside of Glasgow. Vermont House was opened by the then Prime Minister of Scotland, Donald Dewar. It houses two large warehouses and an office for our growing number of employees. We do everything here, from designing our new lines to submitting orders placed on our website.

2002: OUR BRITISH SPONSORSHIP STARTS

We've always been passionate about nurturing grassroots development, so our partnership with BRITS Snow Tour was natural. This sponsorship was the beginning of our partnerships with a variety of charities and organizations over the years.

2002: WE WON OUR THIRD BRITISH APPAREL EXPORT AWARD

Having won in 2000 and 2001, 2002 saw our third consecutive British Apparel Export award, in recognition of outstanding achievements in export.

2013: ANNOUNCED AS OFFICIAL SUPPLIERS OF CASUAL UNIFORMS FOR COMMONWEALTH GAMES IN GLASGOW 2014

In 2013, we were selected as the official uniform supplier for the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Providing uniforms for Clyde-sider volunteers, technical and security officers and the Queen's Baton Relay scout bearer, more than 15,000 volunteers and officers displayed the uniforms in front of the world. We also participated in the festival-themed closing ceremony celebrations, with 600 of our tents occupying Hampden Stadium.

2013: 150th STORE IN THE UNITED KINGDOM

This year we opened our Wembley Outlet store in London, which marked our 150th UK store. This was a huge achievement for us and meant that we were able to give even more people access to high quality and affordable outdoor clothing that they would allow them to explore.

2014: OUR FIRST STORE IN CONTINENTAL EUROPE OPENS

In 2014, we opened our first store in continental Europe. Located in Rosada, Netherlands, we continued to grow in continental Europe and opened stores in Poland, France, Germany and Austria.

2015: COLLABORATION WITH SOCIAL BITE

We were honored to work with the charity Social Bite in their efforts to help those living in refugee camps across Europe. For every £5 food pack purchased by the public for refugees through Itison.com, we provide winter essentials such as hats, gloves, scarves, tents, jackets and sleeping bags for those living in the camps.

2016: “SNOWCASE” THE CHARITY ART PROJECT

In 2016, we asked 13 artists, including Stephen Wiltshire (MBE) and the Glasgow Graffiti Artist Rogue One, to create bespoke ski helmets, which we auctioned for charity. With the help of our artists, we were able to raise funds for a number of amazing causes, including: Barnardo's, Alzheimer's Research UK, Women's Aid and Disability Snowsport UK.

2017: RELEASE OF TRESPAWS

This year we launched Trespaws: a range of clothing and accessories designed specifically for dogs. Featuring bowls, jackets, handles and collars, this was an exciting new adventure for the Trespass family and we can't wait to expand the collection even further.

2018: 200TH UK STORE

In addition to successfully opening an impressive 32 stores this year alone, we are celebrating the opening of our 200th UK retail store in Dover, Kent. Our company grows, only from our values, and we are proud to continue our journey to make the outdoors accessible to all, further promoting our brand throughout the country.

2018 - 2019: KILTWALK KIT SPONSORS

In 2018, we became the official sponsors of the Kiltwalk, providing uniforms for all employees and the infamous Kilties for the 2018/19 events in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen. Trespass employees also participated in the 38-kilometer walk, handing out Trespaws branded medals to all canine competitors and free bottles of water.
