Recycled plastic? Here's the new Tucano case for iPad and tablet
The new cases for iPad and tablet, in material obtained from recycled plastic, mark the ambitious 2021 ecological goal and the beginning of an ecological anchor challenge to be played.
Oceans polluted by huge plastic islands, melting glaciers, greenhouse effect, are just some of the serious environmental problems we are used to living with. Protecting the planet is not just a necessity for an Italian commune.
In recent years, Tucano has devoted great attention to the theme of eco-sustainability, experimenting with and using materials obtained from recycled plastic and approaching new models of eco-sustainable production. Today, the relationship between lines made from recycled plastic and those made from traditional material is inverted, with a net prevalence of the first over the second and with the purpose of being eco-sustainable, making the entire 2022 catalogue.
The Gala for Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite and the Premium for iPad Pro 11'2021 is the main tablet case made of recycled plastic material, saving the environment around 3 bottles per product.
Naturally, in light of this extraordinary change, not only have most of the ongoing collections been reinterpreted in a "green key", but families of interesting products have been born for both the Consumer Electronics channel and the liberal travel and weather sector. See all bags and all backpacks also Second Skin®, the iconic cover for laptop and MacBook, will follow the same production criteria, for a transformation of its large scale and significant cycle of plastic bottles: up to 12 per le bags , 24 for folding bags and 30 for larger backpacks.
But in the plastic way can it have a second life? Bottles recovered from the environment are crushed, melted and turned into wires. Eco-nylon, eco-polyester, mesh, coated fabrics or elastic are just some of the solutions available in recycled material.
Even the Tucano packaging sleeps at zero impact, especially the label on the product letter, the polybag in compostable bioplastic, the boxes in recycled cardboard and recyclable by e-commerce, a choice consistent with an intra-press project.
Toucano presents Otter, the floating ecological backpack
Designed for marine environments, but also perfect for water hikes, the Otter is an ecological floating backpack that acts as a buoy, lifebuoy and watertight container. Unique in its kind, thanks to its double casing whose outer part protects the waterproof bag from tears or bumps, the Otter is comfortable on the boat, essential for water rides, protective at sea.
The outer bag, in safety orange color, clearly visible in all emergency situations, is made of fabric obtained from recycled plastic bottles that, thanks to a rework process, are shredded, melted and turned into threads. For the large model, 33 plastic bottles are removed from the environment, for the small model, 21. Thanks to its ecological aspect, the Otter is a useful accessory for all those who live nature intensely but with a lot of respect and love.
The two internal bags, one large and one small, are perfect for not getting technological accessories, books, food or clothing . The external backpack, on the other hand, allows you to attach or insert tools and objects that may be in contact with water. The holes, placed in some points of the orange bag, guarantee an excellent escape of the water introduced during the different activities. The Otter backpack, designed to float and signal, thanks also to a flag provided, is the ideal product for those who want to experience the sea in freedom but with few risks.
Otter is available in two different sizes, 70L and 30L.
The original and innovative design and technical characteristics of the backpack have produced interesting collaborations with nautical associations, protected marine parks and realities related to nautical sports.
But how was the Otter born?
From the meeting between Franco Luini, CEO of Tucano, and Angelo Falletta, president of the Aquatic Trekking Association, ATA and a committed environmentalist. Angelo had made a similar backpack several years before, but left the project unfinished because it was so innovative for that period. About a year ago, Tucano reworked it in order to present it today with a technologically new and original look.
