Dolce & Gabbana today

The first fashion show in Dolce & Gabbana history brought ordinary women to the runway. As the stylists didn't have the money to hire professional models, they enlisted the help of friends. In 2017, Dolce and Gabbana made use of a similar proposal. The designers invited 148 people, including clients, actresses, models and friends of the brand, to be part of the casting for the autumn/winter fashion show at Milan Fashion Week.

Inspired by the Italian Renaissance, the collection brought together a mix of streetwear, tailoring and extravagant details: Dolce & Gabbana skirts with boots or sneakers, patchwork, brocades, looks in jeans and animal prints, classic black lace dresses, silk pajamas, tiaras and magnificent crowns, in addition to the traditional Dolce & Gabbana bags - clothes and accessories chosen by the guests themselves to compose their looks.

The brand's first menswear collection was launched in 1990. In its fall/winter 2017 presentation, Dolce & Gabbana menswear brought a casting made up of YouTube and Instagram influencers who stand out among the millennium generation and form fashion opinion.

The collection featured variations of the Dolce & Gabbana suit, such as classic jacquard models, patterned coats, capes, denim jackets, sweaters and hooded pieces, imitating stuffed animals.

Authentic luxury

Always reinventing itself and without losing sight of the international market, Dolce & Gabbana is among the most relevant luxury brands in the fashion world. In 2016, the brand launched its first collection of hijabs and abayas, the scarves and dresses worn by Muslim women. In an interview with an Arab newspaper, Stefano Gabbana declared his fascination for the Middle East and the importance of clients in the region in his work.

With the same creativity and refinement, the Dolce & Gabbana brand is also dedicated to haute jewelry. The most recent collection was unveiled in January of this year at the duo's newly renovated museum in Naples, with gigantic photos of Sophia Loren in the background.

Inspired by Neapolitan religiosity, the collection brings symbols of local superstitions, references to Capodimonte porcelain and pieces elaborated with baroque angels. The designers even created trompe l'oeil effect t-shirts, expressing the brand's humorous aesthetic. Dolce and Gabbana continue to bet on what they do best and the world thanks them!

Dolce & Gabbana Bags

Dolce & Gabbana bags are a real hit at the brand. Always highly desired, the brand's leather accessories quickly gain icon status, as did the D&G Devotion bags. Carrying the sacred heart studded in diamonds at the center and quite imposing, varying in colors (from the most traditional to the most fun) and textures, Devotion became an icon in a short time.

For the more classic ones, the Sicily bag by Dolce & Gabbana is a sure bet. The piece has its original version in a smooth leather tote bag, but the piece has already evolved beyond the traditional model, decreasing in size in slightly smaller versions, and also with matelassé leather.
