The life span of a cartomiser varies according to personal consumption pattern but on average 1 cartomiser lasts circa 300 puffs.
Trial for free e-cigs
The BBC have recently reported, that smokers in A&E departments will be given free e-cigarettes in a trial to help people quit. Any smoker patients in A&E will be given a free weeks supply of e cigarettes/ e-liquid along with full instructions and advice.
Public Health England have reported that there are approximately 50,000 smokers quitting each year by vaping instead. The general thought process across the medical industry and by NHS experts is that vaping is less harmful than smoking traditional cigarettes.
The free vaping trial in emergency departments is due to commence later this year. Please bear in mind that not all smokers in A&E will be given free e-cigs. There is also due to be a study afterwards, to check whether the individuals are still smoking 1, 3 and 6 months later.

How long does an electronic cigarette cartomiser last?
This is dependent on the type of smoker you are but as an average, one electronic cigarette cartomisers lasts the equivalent of approximately 300 puffs. Based on a regular cigarette, which is roughly 10 puffs, these cartomisers last approximately 30 cigarettes. With the cost of these you can see how much cheaper it is to use the electronic cigarette rather than regular cigarettes.
