ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Through its business model, Bershka aims to help the sustainable development of society and the environment with which it interacts. Commitment to the Environment is included in the Corporate Responsibility policy of the Inditex group, published on the website: www.inditex.com.

Here are some of the goals and activities developed within the framework of environmental commitment, directly related to shops and customers:

Saving energy.

Eco-efficient shop.

Reducing waste production and recycling.

Sharing the commitment with all staff.

Raising awareness of the team.

SAVING ENERGY. THE ECO-EFFICIENT SHOP.

We are developing an 'eco-efficient' shop management model, by integrating sustainability and efficiency criteria, which will allow for a reduction in energy consumption of 20%. This management model proposes measures in all processes, from designing the store, installing lighting, heating or cooling systems, to the possible recycling of furniture and decoration.

We are reducing the production of waste and we recycle. Recycling hangers or alarms, which are collected at the shops and processed to become other plastic items, is an example of waste management. Millions of hangers and alarms are processed every year. Additionally, both the cardboard and the plastic used in the packaging are recycled.

SHARING THE COMMITMENT WITH ALL STAFF. RAISING AWARENESS OF THE TEAM.

Internal communication campaigns and specific multimedia training programs to raise employee awareness of sustainable practices such as streamlining energy consumption, using sustainable transport or changing behaviour patterns.

Introducing biodiesel fuel.

The Bershka lorry fleet, which carries over 200 million garments each year, uses 5% biodiesel fuel. This measure allows for the reduction of over 500 tonnes of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.

POLICY OF TREATMENT OF ANIMALS

All products of animal origin sold in our shops, including fur and leather, come exclusively from farms raising animals for food, and in no case from animals slaughtered solely for the sale of their skins.

The brand has a pop-up location in New York City until the end of the year.

The best items to buy include faux shearling-lined jackets and a velvet shirt.

Meet Bershka, Zara's younger sister store, now available for the first time ever in America. Bershka is the product of Zara's parent brand, Inditex, and is geared toward a younger audience, with a slightly cheaper price point to boot.

To celebrate the occasion, the brand opened up a pop-up shop at 580 Broadway in New York City on Tuesday, that will be open through the end of the year and according to WWD, will be selling on-trend items like embroidered coats, floral dresses, faux shearling jackets, sequined tank tops, velvet bodysuits, puffer coats, and faux leather skirts among
